Dear colleagues, ambassadors, and friends,

After careful consideration and concern for the ongoing escalation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCA) has decided to postpone its Annual Awards for a year to December 2021.

Our members, colleagues, sponsors, and VIPs come to the Awards gala from all over the world and protecting the health and safety of everyone who would attend is of utmost importance.

The UNCA Awards had been eager to mark its 25 th anniversary this year, but we are now looking forward to planning an even more special celebration in 2021 and excited to host you at what is always a memorable event.

In light of the pandemic and its global impact, we are also pleased to announce that we will be establishing a new UNCA Award for coverage of COVID-19 and its affect worldwide.

We know this is a challenging time for everyone and we greatly appreciate your understanding and support.

We wish you safety and health until then.

Sincerely,

Valeria Robecco
President, United Nations Correspondents Association
