The United Nations Correspondents Association held a press conference with the Director of Operations for the International Committee of the Red Cross, Dominik Stillhart, on Tuesday, February 6th in the UNCA meeting room.

As Director of Operations at the International Committee of the Red Cross Mr. Stillhart is responsible for the strategic definition, conduct and review of humanitarian operations carried out by the organization’s 13,000 staff in some 80 countries. He conducts regular field visits to assess first-hand the humanitarian situation on the ground. His recent visits include Myanmar and Afghanistan.
Mr. Stillhart was in New York to meet with UN Member States to discuss ICRC’s priorities for 2018 in key operational contexts (eg. Syria, Yemen, DRC).
